HAVILAH AND ITS PROJECTS

Through our presence and our works, we wish to testify, in a concrete way,

of assistance to people in need.

The goal is to help the poorest families so that they keep the hope of a better life.

 

Our actions in the field are already greatly appreciated, they are especially useful thanks to our donors, our partners and our volunteers.

The association distributes more than 100 meals as well as many clothes during the holiday season.

However, our objective is to provide basic food aid on a monthly basis.

 

We are also committed to building a first center in the city of San Pedro de Macoris,

by which we will offer several aid and mutual aid services for the most disadvantaged people in the region.

 

Ultimately, this center will be dedicated to sharing, in every sense of the word.

 

Sharing the Word with pastoral supervision;

Knowledge sharing with classroom;

Sharing lessons with meeting room;

Food sharing with our family basket making;

Sharing of a school support space for children;

Sharing at the professional level with in-company training.

 

 

Certainly, these sharings are addressed to the most disadvantaged but they will be, as far as possible, open to all.

RECOVERY PERIOD

 

The difficult period due to the pandemic has been an exceptional and delicate period for many people and organizations around the world and like many we have been affected in our organization and our possibilities for help.

 

This challenging period has demonstrated the significance of mutual assistance.

 

Lessons learned from this crisis have reinforced our belief and understanding of the importance of emergency preparedness, collaboration, relief and innovation.

 

As we continue to move forward, it is essential to work together to overcome the existing challenges in order to reach those most in need.

 

Together, with your donations and our network, we can make a difference in many families.

ONGOING ACTION

 

Thanks to our partners and donors, we are currently able to provide occasional food aid and very soon we will be able to provide quarterly and then monthly aid to families in need.

 

This help is provided by our volunteers on site and distributed

by one of our pastors with whom we collaborate and who knows

the needs of the most precarious families in his neighborhood.

 

This food aid is not intended only for the faithful of a

church but indeed to the population in need.

 

Very quickly, we are sure,

we can do this operation on a monthly basis

because the need, alas, is great!

 

TABITHA DONATIONS 2022 - 2023

 

This year again, a stylist friend and sister has created and made for the Havilah association, of which she is a partner, 50 clothes

of different sizes for the poorest children in the Dominican Republic.

 

God has acted powerfully on this sister who is being treated for a serious injury to her shoulders, she is currently under infiltration... however God is acting in her life and on her work because as soon as she started this work she felt relieved to each drawing, each cut and each seam….

 

In big THANK YOU to her, I am sure that our Lord will grant her an abundant harvest in all areas of her life following her seeds.

CHRISTMAS ACTION 2021 - 2022

 

This year, no less than 175 meals were distributed to children and more than

twenty to volunteers.

 

In addition, 150 kilos of rice, a hundred bottles of oil and approximately

200 pieces of clothing and accessories were also distributed to families

(of 4 people) in need.

 

This year, it is potentially 600 people that we had

chance to help.

 

Thanks to you who gave by sowing in our association,

thank you to our partners, thank you to the volunteers both in Switzerland and on site

in the Dominican Republic and especially...

With our new partner, Franco-Mission Internationale,

we are now certain of renewing our Christmas action

"100 meals for 100 children".

 

 

We are even in the certainty that we will manage, all together, to do much more.

REDUNDANT BUT ESSENTIAL

 

Sending boxes full of clothes for adults and children is something we do on a regular basis.

Many of the poorest families and children in the Dominican Republic, in San Pedro de Macoris, benefit from it.

 

It is always a great joy to see the smiles on the faces of the children and more generally of the families to whom these gifts are addressed.

 

A MAGNIFICENT GESTURE

 

Stylist and seamstress, our partner is committed to providing 50 new outfits for the start of the school year.

 

Soon, she will hand deliver the magnificent clothes that she designs and makes with love.
